David and Bathsheba are one of the most popular Bible stories told in the secular media. It reads like a soap opera but many of these movies leave out some of the most important parts of the story. My story is crafted from the Book of 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles as it weaves through King Davids’s life. As you will find out in this tale, Bathsheba does marry King David but she is just one of a long line of wives in David’s life and harem.
